Our slogan ‘Dance Floor Radio’ sums up what we do perfectly: if it’s on the dance floor, it’s on RAW. In fact, we’re pretty confident Nobody Plays More New Dance Music, and we pride ourselves on playing the most cutting edge selection of House, Indie Dance, Electro, Trance and Urban in Australia.
What’s more, you’ll hardly hear any talk when you tune in! Aside from occasional ads bringing you the latest info on events, clubs, fashion and services, we’re all about the tunes!

Angelo (Angy) Nacson
Raw FM brings together three decades of Angy's wide-ranging experience in the dance music industry...
In the 70s ... running the iconic "African Queen" Nightclubs with his brothers...touring Australia & the Pacific with his "Dance Connection" disco show...his involvement in Australia's first disco TV show "Thank God Its Friday" ...and releasing Australia's first "rap" style song in 1978.
In the 80s and 90s...running a very successful nightclub marketing and promotions business-combining passion for DJing with his (unique) creative flair-and delivering some truly memorable events for clients such as Fantastic Voyage, Cream, Fusion, Riche (formerly Juliana's) and Beach Rock & 15-18 Jump Street (Central Coast). It was during this time that Angy first hit Sydney's airwaves, as co-producer & presenter of "Night Tracks" Dance Music Radio Show which ran for almost 10 years on 2RDJ FM.
Recognising the potential to take Dance Music to an even greater audience, Angy ventured into narrowcasting with the launch of 99.1 Raw FM on the Central Coast in January 2000.
Now, with a portfolio of 50+ licences, Angy has extended Raw FM's coverage to the NSW Far North Coast, Central Coast & South Coast, Sydney's Northern Beaches, and inland to Canberra, Albury, Perisher and Jindabyne-and its first Victorian licence @ Shepparton.
Angy's knowledge of the dance music industry, broadcast technology and programming is highly regarded by both industry and government authorities. He served as a Board Member of ASTRA for 4 years (former industry association), and is a Foundation Board Member of ANRA - Australian Narrowcast Radio Assosiation (the new industry body).
